Caching with the kids...

Brian and I took Ty and Gino out with us today. We were 2 for 2 this afternoon! The kids did great. Even though it was cold and windy and a little snowy at times, they had fun running around looking for the cache containers, then playing with the trinkets they traded.

The following picture is of Brian, Ty, and Gino after we found the geocache The Hawk's Cache.

The next picture is of Brian, Ty, and Gino after we found the geocache Big One, and the second picture is Gino and Ty standing inside what was left of a giant old dead tree in the area where we found the container.

This is the Spring Duckling 2008 Geocoin that Gino and I took out of the Big One cache.

Geocaching to Allstate

Stopped off for a few quick grabs on my way to Allstate in Medford, then again to pick up the kids in Maple Shade...

The following 3 pictures are from the geocache Ye Old Cellar. They are of an old stone cellar wall that still stands in the middle of an otherwise empty wooded area in Marlton.

The following 2 pictures are of Country Farms Pond. Even though I did not find this geocache, it was still a beautiful place to visit...

The following 2 pictures are of the Marlton United Methodist Cemetary and the actual cache container from the geocache An Eagle's Trail.

The following picture is of the memorial for John Penn at the geocache 1743 Potter's Field. It explains that John Penn deeded an acre of land to Evesham Township in 1743 for the burial of strangers, slaves, and the poor.

This picture is of the geocache Cachee Poppins PXII. It was pretty easy to find, but it was a long walk since I parked in the lot all the way on the other side of the field...

Geocaching to Grandma's

Gino and I decided to stop off for a few quick finds while on the way to Grandma's for dinner, but we didn't find either of the 2 we actually looked for.

Midnight Geocaching

Couldn't sleep. Decided to investigate a few local caches in the black of night...

Geocaching All Over

Today I found 4 geocaches, all of them spread pretty far across South Jersey. It just so happened that today I was working all over the place so I got a few easy ones.

The first geocache was What's This In My Side Yard? I looked right at the container and didn't really notice it the first time. Walked around in a big circle, slipped and almost fell down the hill, scratched my arm on a thorny thing, then ended up right where I started - looking right at the cache! I left the Mighty Shark Geocoin. The second part was beautiful. A historic little monument right in the middle of a residential community.

Another geocache that I found today was Church Woman of Lawnside. This was one of those places I've probably driven past hundreds of times, but still never noticed. It was nice to actually stop and appreciate the local memorial.
