GEOCACHING - Multiples

I decided to leave work early and spend the rest of the afternoon doing a little geocaching while running some errands. This track shows 6 stops total, but I didn't find a few of the caches...

The first stop was again back to the Covered Bridge, and again I didn't find the cache.

The second stop of the day was to look for the geocache called One Wheel Forward. This one I found pretty quickly. It was a pretty clever spot for a cache and I had fun. It was a quick park-n-grab type. The cache itself was one of those really little magnetic nanos. It was tiny!

The third stop along the way was one called the Mini Bridge. I found the bridge pretty easily, but did not find the cache... I looked for a pretty long time but could not find the right spot. I think all the trees overhead might have had something to do with it though. I'll have to try this one again another time...

The fourth stop was at a geocache called Vanishing Circles, right where Routes 70 and 73 meet. It was a really cool place to put a cache because once you got out of the car and walked into the area you were completely hidden from everyone driving by. The road was right in front of you, but with all the brush and trees surrounding that little area nobody would ever see you. I found the cache after a few minutes of looking.

The fifth stop was to a geocache really close to the Vanishing Circles. This one was called Fast Food Nostalgia. The site was once a fast food joint called Marlton Burger Chef, which was demolished in 1977. The plot of land is still there, but the only thing remaining of the Burger Chef restaurant is the tile floor. It's actually really cool to walk into a little wooded area and see a tile floor. I found the cache here pretty easily.

The sixth stop was for a cache called An Eagle's Trail. The cache was hidden in a tiny little cemetery in Marlton that I never knew existed. I didn't find it, but it was neat to walk through the cemetery and see the tombstones from the 1800's.

Covered Bridge

Sarah and I tried to find the geocache Covered Bridge in Cherry Hill but were just couldn't. We looked all over but still did not find it. This is the second time now, and I'm definitely convinced that I need a better GPS. With that in mind, last night I bought a brand new unit online. It should arrive in a few days so now we'll see what's what!

Cache As Cache Can

Today I took Gino out to find the geocache Cache As Cache Can. It was in a nice little park in Haddonfield. It didn't take long to find. Gino decided to take a band-aid and leave a domino.
